How can a 1000mg capsule of flax seed oil be 13x different than 1 TBS of theoil? Isn't 1 TBS oil = to 1000mg?

One tablespoon of oil (if you look at the itty bitty print on the side of the bottle) is 7,000 (or close to) mg of an omega three fatty acid called Alpha Linoleic Acid (ALA) 鈥?and one 1000mg capsule is approximately 500mgs of capsule and about 500mg of ALA 鈥?so you need 13-14 to get the same amount of ALA that you would in a tablespoon of oil.

As far as I'm concerned, that many capsules are bound to make a person sick.....

Take a tablespoon of the oil - eat a small piece of bread, or a cracker afterwards to get it off your tongue - it doesnt have much of a flavor, its the greasy feeling on your tongue thats the worst....
