If the drug test is sensitive to hemp oil, then yes. Otherwise, no.

Is Omega 3 fish oil better than Flax seed oil for arthritis?

the only thing it really depends on is the source and mg of dose. Some fish are farm raised and dont contain as many of the natural oils that are so good for you. Flax is a plant source and is easily absorbed in the body.

bottom line...as long as you are taking a reputable supplement, there is no resason to choose one over the other, just check the sourrce of the fish oil products, if you canIs Omega 3 fish oil better than Flax seed oil for arthritis?

Yes, and it is also great for mild depression!

How much flax seed/oil will i have to consume to make up for not eating fish?

i don't want to rely on eating fish because i want to be a full vegetarianHow much flax seed/oil will i have to consume to make up for not eating fish?
good call. it totally helped me with my fish cravings as well. i was just taking one or two of the trader joe's brand capsules everyday. i know, they probably have gelatin, but i'm pretty ok with consuming some animal bi-products (things that are leftover. i just don't want to eat meat that the animal was actually killed for).

i just looked it up. they're about 1000mg per capsule, so try 1000-2000mg per day.

Does flax seed oil really work?

All these people saying it helps with fiber, omega 3, etc.

Is it true? And what does it REALLY do?

I almost drank the Kool-Aid with my rents.Does flax seed oil really work?
Yes, it IS rich in Omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids (although moreso the Omega 3 and 9) and fiber. It's not cult-ish, nor hype... that's the basis of what it is. ';Omega'; fatty acids are a classification of nutrients that are divided up between the 3 categories (3, 6, and 9) and Flax Oil has one from each of those categories, plus it naturally has a lot of fiber (as do most fruits, vegetables, and grains).

What you said is completely true and the scientific basis of the nutrients in Flax. Byocoma is right that it's very good for cardiovascular health because of those nutrients, but it's also good for skin health, heart health, digestive health, and even some aspects of joint health. It has literally been used for centuries in different cultures because of those benefits.

You can even find more detailed information about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flax_oil#Nu鈥?/a>

Good luck!Does flax seed oil really work?
One thing about vegetable omega 3 that is not particularly well known is that the omega 3 in flax seeds, walnuts and soy products is ALA which has no brain benefits.

Flax oil has various health benefits such as anti-inflammatory benefits and others that you can find in a web search for ';flax oil'; + ';health benefits';.

The omega 3 in fish oil is DHA and EPA and DHA has brain benefits so if you want brain benefits you need fish oil.
I take it everyday it's one of the richest in omega 3 oils it's so good for you barleen's has one of the best.

a friend of mine is currently taking flax seed oil as she read somewhere that they encourage breast to grow. i found it ridiculous what do you fink???Does flax seed oil encourage breasts to grow?
hey i agree lol. that is a load of bull bless her tho she jus wnts bigger boobs o well tell her she should be happy wid herself coz sh is unique. flax seed oil is used for better brain function and for a healthy heart.Does flax seed oil encourage breasts to grow?
    I've heard that too.

the only thing to make your boobs grow is hormones, which are found in some herbs if she wants to eat those. :]

    that will work for sure.
You're right. It's ridiculous. Her boobs are only going to grow to what they are supposed to be naturally.
No, only hormones make breasts grow. There's nothing you can do about it aside from surgery.

Is Flax seed oil that is sold as a dry good (vs. a refrigerated good)as viable as the refridgerated kind?

I have seen Flax seed oil sold in the herbal supplement department of my local big-box retailer. It is shelf-stabilized and it's sell by date is marked a year into the future. I usually purchase Flax Seed oil from the refrigerated isle at Whole Foods, and it is only good for a couple weeks after purchase. Can the dry-goods version be as nutritionaly valuable as the refrigerated version? I suspect not, but would like to hear from someone in the know.Is Flax seed oil that is sold as a dry good (vs. a refrigerated good)as viable as the refridgerated kind?
Flax seed oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, and therefore is highly susceptible to oxidation. For that reason flax seed oil should be sealed, refridgerated, and kept in an opaque bottle to keep light out. Theoretically, if the container is unopened (as it would be in the store) it is likely safe from much oxidation, but the practice of many health food stores (like Whole Foods) is better. You could detect whether the ';dry-good version'; is any good by smelling it immediately after opening it. If it smells fresh, without a hint of fat rancidity, then it is probably OK.Is Flax seed oil that is sold as a dry good (vs. a refrigerated good)as viable as the refridgerated kind?
Yes, my doctor told me to buy ground flax seed and sprinkle it on my oatmeal, salads whatever??? It really helps with circulation and your heart health, there is no big taste change either.
I remember seeing a show on TV about Flax seed and for nutrition you have to keep it refrigerated. It breaks down quickly and only last about a week when ground.

Can you mix Flax seed oil and Coconut oil in a smoothie?

I presume you mean adding a small amount of oil to other items such as fruit into a smoothie. Yes you could for added nutritional value. Flax seed oil and coconut oil are both excellent for health and provide complementary fatty acids so why not. A small amount of lecithin might be a good idea if you have capsules you can squeeze the contents of one or two f these into the smoothie mix. Lecithin will help homogenise the oil and water mix. Adding whey protein or natural live yogurt to the fruit and oil mix would make it a good meal substitute for a non-main meal such as breakfast. I wouldn't add too much oil though.

Are there any benefits to taking a flax seed oil supplement?

  • Which one is better Hemp seed oil or Flax seed oil?

Flax seed oil seems to irritate some peoples' stomachs. Does hemp seed oil do that too? What are the individual benefits of each?

I always avoided Hemp seed oil in case I would get a drug test at work. I thought it would come out positive if I ate Hemp seeds or Hemp seed oil. Is this true?Which one is better Hemp seed oil or Flax seed oil?
Yeah, both oils are good for you, It's probably best to use them both in moderation. Too much hemp oil can make you gain weight, 100g of hemp seed of which 60% is oil equals 570 calories. They both contain essential omega fatty acids which have positive effects on brain activity and joints. the main difference is that using flax seed oil can cause the body to have deficiencies in some essential fatty acids.

You could probably live off hemp seeds because they provide all necessary and essential amino acids and fatty acids.Which one is better Hemp seed oil or Flax seed oil?
Both oils are good for you. And no, that would not be true. The hemp seed, and oil are completely different from the marijuana that is grown. My Dad is a doctor, and he loves his hemp seed.

What exactly is Flax Seed Oil?

I was going to start taking Evening Primrose Oil at the beginning of my cycle up until I ovulate... I was told to start taking FlaxSeed Oil right afterwards? What is this for? Can I not just taking the EPO up until Ovulation? What exactly is Flax Seed Oil?
Don't take EPO after ovulation. It can cause uterine contractions - but not quite sure what the Flaxseed Oil will do except to give you Omega 3s and other nutrients.

I took EPO and it made no difference for me. What did make a HUGE difference was taking guafinesen - it's the main ingredient in plain Robitussin. Just make sure the ONLY ingredient is guafinesen. I bought the generic guafinesen at CVS.

Take 200mg 3 times a day starting about 4-5 days before you think you may ovulate. Continue through the day after ovulation.

It's basically the same concept as to why you would take robitussin when you have a cough. It thins the mucus. So taking the dosage above can help thin your CM to make it more fertile.

Best of luck to you and baby dust to us both! What exactly is Flax Seed Oil?
    ';EPO helps to increase fertile quality cervical fluid and also contains essential fatty acids which are good for the brain. You may take this EPO from menstruation to ovulation and switch to Flax Seed Oil after ovulation. Flax Seed Oil contains the fatty acids needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Evening Primrose Oil causes uterine contractions - which is why you should not take it after ovulation in the event that conception did occur.';

This is an article I found on the referenced site, though I did look around and the basic consensus is to take flax seed oil after ovulation instead of EPO because EPO causes contractions.

Does grape seed oil have the nutrients of grape seed extract? How healthy is grape seed oil?

I have no idea what's in it really, I have a bottle in my cupboard...the only advantage I know is that it doesn't taste like anything so it's nice to use when cooking sometimes....I like olive oil a lot more. Plus, olive oil actually removes unhealthy fats from your body so I'd go with that lolDoes grape seed oil have the nutrients of grape seed extract? How healthy is grape seed oil?
It does, but it's more for use in cosmetics as a topical kind of thing. It's wicked good in facial scrubs, lotions, balms, stuff like that. Beautiful for the skin, an antioxidant, and it's not an expensive cosmetic oil, unlike jojoba.

Wouldn't recommend cooking with it, though. You'd have more benefit from using olive health-wise.

Does flax seed oil make you gain weight?

I am taking it with food because it says it is good for your hair and nails. But when i start to think about it, i feel like its going to make me gain weight because, its like oil and fat....does any one know?

Im trying to loose weight, not gain,,,,Does flax seed oil make you gain weight?
Flax oil is all fat, there's no protein in flax or any other oil.

14 grams (1 Tbsp) of flax seed oil contains 14 grams of fat, period. That is about 124 calories. My guess would be that one of those flax seed oil capsules has about 10-15 calories.

However, flax seed oil contains the omega fatty acids that your body and brain and heart really needs and it helps to burn other stored bodyfat, as long as you are exercising. So flax seed oil does help you get lean as long as you are burning off all the calories from the flax seed oil plus the released bodyfat via exercise.

I use the flax seed oil as part of my salad oil, I add it to my olive oil when I mix oil and vinegar for salads.

Since you need oils anyway its good to use some flax seed oil (especially for women). You can take it as a capsule supplement, just like cod liver oil for instance, or you can do what I do and just add the oil from a bottle into the other oils that you already use in cooking. It is good for you, but its too expensive to use exclusively for salads/cooking. Just don't go overboard with it because, like all other oils, it does have a caloric content.Does flax seed oil make you gain weight?
Well flax seeds and the oil are used by weight lifters as a supplement, because they are quite high in protein.

If you're really worried about it I would stop taking it, but I doubt it would have an effect on your weight by itself.

Can flax seed oil really aid in brain development of babies while in utero ?

I've never heard that but flax seeds are very nutritious so I would think so.Can flax seed oil really aid in brain development of babies while in utero ?
yes it or omega fatty acid is essential for excellent brain function, motor and cognitive skills and nerves. It also reduces the risk of things like ADHD and possibly other birth defects.

    http://www.ext.colostate.edu/PUBS/column鈥?/a>

Folic acid is important too but for other development. Can flax seed oil really aid in brain development of babies while in utero ?
    Absolutely.

Omega 3 fatty acids are key to brain development. Fatty acids are concentrated in the brain, and a lack of fatty acids during develpment can lead to vision and nerve problems in children. Flax seed contains the Omega 3 fatty acid alpha linolenic acid (ALA). The other 2 main fatty acids are called DHA and EPA. Those 2 are more readily used by the body. ALA is converted to EPA and DHA, but not very well. If it is tolerated, I think taking fish oil in addition to flax oil is best (fish oil contains the EPA/DHA).
Folic acid is the key! Flax Seed does not have any folic acid in it.
Not really but fish or fish oil might help as it contains the omega 3 that has brain benefits and that is DHA.

Flax seed oil contains ALA and this omega 3 has no brain benefits.

I wouldn't think so. Maybe a certain percentage of it could be mixed with Motor Oil, but I have never heard of it.Can canola, peanut, or cotton seed oil be used as a substitute for motor oil?
Don't use anything but motor oil in an automobile engine. Motor oil has many additives to improve viscosity (Thickness) detergents to remove or suspend dirt particles that the oil picks up, additives to prevent or reduce oxidation, extreme pressure and temperature additives to make the oil more durable and sometimes a small amount of Teflon to make it more slick. All oils are not created equal. Can canola, peanut, or cotton seed oil be used as a substitute for motor oil?
I know motor oil is more expensive, but it's cheaper than a new engine. The truth is that all of them are more expensive and would wreck your engine in seconds flat. They would burn off in seconds or starting up and seize your engine. I just bought five quarts of oil at Wal Mart for $10. My engine costs about $6000 to replace. There's no comparison.
Only until the engine seizes up.
    No.

it is not a bad idea ever to take a daily vitamin, fish oil is a great anti-inflamitory.
The most important thing for people over 30 is calcium. If you are eating a healthy balaced diet you should be okay in regards to taking additional vitamins, since most of what you need is in the food you eat.
you need none of that, if you eat a balanced diet!

Would you swap the pill for the black cumin seed (oil)?

Seeing as black cumin seed oil can give you abortionsWould you swap the pill for the black cumin seed (oil)?
I would rather stick to a highly effective preventative birth control method than a less effective abortifacientWould you swap the pill for the black cumin seed (oil)?
I hope you aren't counting on it as your birth control method. Otherwise you may have to prepare to call yourself a parent. While it has historically been touted as an abortificant, it requires large doses to do that. It also isn't always effective. Since the birth control pill approaches something like 99% effectiveness. your odds are better if you stick with the pill. If you don't get pregnant in the first place, you don't have to worry about things like seed oils.
no never! the black cumin seed in traditional medicine can induce an abortion if taken in large quantities but it can also make a women barren/infertile...It is in no way a form of contraception.

Even if it was it wouldn't stop you from getting any sexually transmitted diseases.
You would have to use gallons and gallons of it to work because even drinking olive oil or vegetable oil would cause it to happen as well. Its an idiotic perception about black cumin oil.
Stupid! I have to call it. If you want to get pregnant then go ahead and take some cumin seed. It is akin to a wives tale.
    No!!!!

Does grape seed oil really work?

my friend at work said this is nature antibiotic is this true and does it really work?Does grape seed oil really work?
I think your friend is confusing grape seed extract with grapefruit seed extract

grape seed extract works similar to pycnogenol and is a powerful antioxidants that helps with free radical damage and many illnesses and is 50 times higher in antioxidants than vitamin e and 20 times higher in antioxidants than vit c.

grape seed oil is a food and a main ingredient in a delicious mayo type product called veganaisse that is tastier than mayo when you get the one with the purple lid that uses grape seed oil (at health food section in the dairy section). It has some health benefits

grapefruit seed extract which is an awful tasting substance IMO even when mixed with lemonade is an antibiotic

Other natural antibiotics are olive leaf extract (tincture) --organic

raw garlic these both kill not only bacteria, but viruses, protozoans, and fungi

Raw garlic is actually better than antibiotics as it kills 2100% unlike antibiotics from drug stores which kill about 99% and the remaining 1% often become super-viruses resistance to antibiotics.

Also unlike store antibiotics, garlic is target selective..that i, it only kills the bad bacteria and not the good. Killing the good bacteria is what leads to overgrowth of candida as the bacteria in the vagina that keep it is check are killed off and thus females get yeast infections. Also killing the healthy bacteria in the digestive tract with thing like penicillin leads to diarrhea.

It often takes a while time to get the gut back to normal after using antibiotics from the doctor and one needs to take yogurt or kefir or acidophilus milk

A book I read written by a ';doctor's doctor'; who turned to using alternative health as he came to believe it was superior had success with olive leaf extract and had many case histories of it curing even severe viruses such as A';IDS, bird flu, anthrax etc.

when buying herbs only use organic or wildcrafted herbs as these are -10 times higher in the phytochemicals that cure and prevent disease.

Do not use capsules as they are not easily absorbed and sometimes are even burnt in the powdering process.

Use a good organic tincture like herbpharm or products from herbdoc that believe in not standardizing herbs but using the whole plant or as traditionally used and not isolating a single chemical as the chemeical and nutrients in the herb works synergistically (together)

Also other antibiotics are colloidal silver and oi of oregano

oil of oregano is also pretty potent.

I sometimes get the two confused when talking and say grapeseed or grapefruit seed so this may be what your coworker did.Does grape seed oil really work?
Don't know bout that one. Try online search to check it out.

Is flax seed oil applied directly to my face beneficial? If so, in what way?

Any oil can be lubricating, but also pore clogging. I've used vitamin E, pure petroleum jelly and Preperation H (contains shark oil, at least it used too- but oh, the scent).

So do a test to be sure you aren't allergic, and then use it if you must, it has Omega oils, but you're probably better off sprinkling it on some brown rice, will still benefit your skin, from the inside out.Is flax seed oil applied directly to my face beneficial? If so, in what way?
Taking Flaxseed oil orally is beneficial. Applying it on your face , its only an oil!

If someone said ';Oil Seed Rape'; I would assume they were referring to the plants.

If they said ';Rape Seed Oil'; I would assume they were referring to the oil derived from the plants.

Both are correct, but they mean different things.

You can't plant a field of Rape Seed Oil, and you can't fry your food in Oil Seed Rape.
The plant is Rape. It is grown for the seeds, which are crushed to produce oil. Therefore, as a crop, it is correctly named Oil Seed Rape. However, as the end product is the oil produced from Rape seed, the oil is Rape Seed Oil. This is how it is, so live with it. Oh, by the way, the word is spelled ';irritating';.
'Oil Seed Rape' is the plant (also known as Rape, Oilseed Rape, Rapa, Rapaseed and Canola), and Rape Seed Oil is what they make from it when its harvested.

For firming, I would recommend a firming face cream with natural ingredients like: EMU oil, Aloe Butter, Shea Butter, Green Tea, Lecithin, Illepe Butter, Allantion, Hyaluronic Acid
almond oil is said to keep the skin supple, soft and firm...

Should I take a flax seed oil pill everyday?

Im only 24 but like to eat healthy. Should I add flax seed oil supplement pills to my daily routine?Should I take a flax seed oil pill everyday?
if that were me, I'd need to buy a package of Depends with it. If you are eating whole grains and ruffage now and are regular, don't add extra stuff - it may be too harsh for you to handle.Should I take a flax seed oil pill everyday?
It depends if you're getting really good sources of Omega oils in your diet already.

Personally I take one vegan Omega 3+6+9 supplement a day, and I drizzle a teaspoon of flax oil onto lunch and dinner. I would say it certainly helps my skin and hair be softer and shinier.

Have a read of the link below:
flax seed oil is the best healthy for your body i have a shampoo that has flaxseed oil heck my hair is growing back its awesome
Why Not. Flax seed is an excellant way to introduce nutrients to your body in a way the body can handle.

It won't hurt you and if you find that your digestion or other side effects are not desirable cut back on the amount you eat.

    Good Luck.

Nutri-biotic grapefruit seed oil drops for ear infection?

does anyone know if this will work? i have had recurrent ear infections since january and have been on 4 different anti-biotics and they work for a short while, but the infection always returns. i just got insurance, and they are seeing this as a pre-existing condition and won't cover a visit to the ENT as my physician has recommended. i started the drops two nights ago. has anyone tried this?Nutri-biotic grapefruit seed oil drops for ear infection?
Grapefruit seed oil could actually be really irritating topically (ie: burn the skin). I wouldn't recommend it.

Essential oils of neem, tea tree and even lavender can sometimes be beneficial. Neem and tea tree should both be diluted in some olive or grape seed oil to avoid irritation, as well.

Is this an external ear infection (otitis externa/OE)? Or inner ear (otitis media/OM)? I ask because it's relevant as to why the infection keeps recurring. It's possible that the infection is not completely clearing each time (inappropriate antibiotic selection, too mild a dose, too short a course, etc.) So you stop your antibiotic and it flares again.

Other possibilities: Recurring external ear infections tend to arise due to re-innoculation... are you a swimmer? Have your pillowcases and hats been thoroughly sanitized? Are there other sources that could be causing the infection to come back.

Inner ear infections have a strong correlation to dietary sensitivities (and compromised gut immunity.) So it's worthy of some investigation as to whether this plays a role for you.

In terms of treatment... Talk to your doc about changing up your antibiotic prescription and maybe go with a slightly stronger dose. While you're taking the antibiotic, I'd also suggest that you try 2-4 drops of garlic oil 4 times daily. (I'll explain how to make/use it at the bottom of this post.)

If it's OE, you may get some relief from an onion compress. Sounds odd, but it's usually quite effective. Cut an onion in half, place half cut side down on a baking sheet and bake at 250F for about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool until you can handle the onion comfortably (but it's still quite warm.) Remove the middle sections of the onion to make a ';cup'; and place the ';cup'; over your ear. Hold it there for 15 minutes. Repeat as needed for relief or 2 times/day.

If it's OM and you'd like to know more about how gut immunity plays a role (and what you can do about that) feel free to email me.

You could also try frequent gargles with salt water or using a neti pot to flush with warm salt water for OM. This will encourage the Eustachian tubes to open and drain, to help clear up the infection.

    Garlic oil:

    - Peel and crush 4-6 cloves of fresh garlic. (Don't cut the cloves up; just smash 'em.)

    - Place the crushed cloves in a small glass jar (a small glass will suffice, if you don't have a jar.)

    - Cover the cloves with about 3'; of virgin olive oil.

    - Store the jar/glass in a warm place for 24-48 hours.

    - The olive oil will extract the active compounds from the garlic, and the resulting garlic oil is a gentle antibiotic that's quite effective for ear infections or minor scratches, etc. It can be covered and stored in a cool place for up to 2 months (or until the oil starts to go rancid.)

    - To use it, drop 2-4 drops directly into the ear and, if it's not to sore to touch, massage gently.Nutri-biotic grapefruit seed oil drops for ear infection?
Many suggest that it works. I haven't experienced or heard of any personal experience of it being effective. I have had much better results with neem oil. A drop can be placed in the ear a few times per day. It has many different benefits. It is able to boost the immune system while helping the body fight infection even before the immune system is called to action. neem stimulates the production of T-cells to mount a head-on attack against infections. Unlike antibiotics, neem does not destroy beneficial bacteria which are needed to maintain optimum health. Make sure it's cold-pressed, Indian neem oil with nothing added. Hope this helps. Best of health to you!

How do you extract oil from a seed or from a plant?

We have to conduct research studies in school and I want to work with oil extraction (possibly from seeds). I read about a process called ';pressing';(in seeds) but didn't quite understood how it is done.

Can you also suggest possible sources of oil? I know nuts are good sources...

Please help. Thank you very much! ^_^How do you extract oil from a seed or from a plant?
for oil from plants, I'd not reinvent the wheel, you are right nuts are a plentiful source... as in palm, coconut and large exotic nuts of mid-America.

pressing is as it sounds pressing the nuts as in squeeze, another is centrifugal force spinning the nuts under pressure, still another involves heating the nuts... while all of these methods may work however one must factor in the amount of energy used to extract the oil... is it cost effective, in that you might consider using solar, wind, Geo,wave energy to reduce cost.

hope this helped, you may consider contacting BP/Shell company's and talk with them , they give you info and a good direction for your research. How do you extract oil from a seed or from a plant?
Pressing is literally that. A hydraulic press expresses the fluid from the solid or you run the meal through two robust touching hard rollers - meal goes through, oil stays behind.

The other route is extraction. Grind up the source, extract with organic solvent, evaporate the solvent. Liquid carbon dioxide is also used, and supercritical CO2.

How will you control oxidation of unsaturated oils? Separate oil from water? Remove toxic principles (e.g., soybean inosinates).

Can I take Calium, Multi-Vitamin, Vitamin C, Iron, and Flax Seed Oil pills in the morning, at the same time?

Will taking them all together cause a negative effect? I have to take all of these daily and I find it easiest to take them all at once at breakfast.

Help! Can I take Calium, Multi-Vitamin, Vitamin C, Iron, and Flax Seed Oil pills in the morning, at the same time?
Should not be a problem but I would take them after I ate breakfast or at least a glass of orange juice. I take them all plus a few others and I have been doing it for years with no problems. Can I take Calium, Multi-Vitamin, Vitamin C, Iron, and Flax Seed Oil pills in the morning, at the same time?
when you say, you have to take all of these daily,do you mean that your doctor prescribed it for you? If so, its best to ask your doctor, what time is best.

Its not safe to take so many medicines without your doctor's advice. For all you know, you probably dont need them.An overdose of vitamins is not good. Recent studies say that an overdose of vitamins can be be toxic. As far as possible, try to get the vitamins and proteins you need from your regular diet.

Good sources of calcium include low fat dairy products, such as milk, yogurt, cheese and ice cream; dark green, leafy vegetables, such as broccoli, collard greens, bok choy and spinach; sardines and salmon with bones; tofu; almonds; and foods fortified with calcium, such as orange juice, cereals and breads

Good sources of iron for vegetarians include wholegrain cereals and flours, leafy green vegetables, blackstrap molasses, pulses such as lentils and kidney beans, and some dried fruits.

Refer to www.nutrition.com for futher details.
No. Consult your doctor. Try taking a multivitamin with fish oil all in one capsule. That would be the safest way to go. You don't want to harm yourself ok. Go to a chemist even and seek some real advice because everyone has different needs and people at pharmacies can ask question to help assess your situation. It just like people going on a diet, not all diets suit the same people. We are all different. I hope this helps.
You can take them all at once - but I would wait and take the multi-vitamin (which I have found to be a little rough on the stomach) an hour or so later. Also, it is always a good idea to take these vitamins with food or a big glass of milk.Hope this helps!
I don't know about the rest of the stuff but iron and calcium together.not good for digestive system!~
no you can take them all together, vitamin c actually enhances the absorbtion and uptake of iron. try to take these at least 40 mins after a meal as if the meal is high in fibre it will bind up the minerals and not allow for absorption.
shouldn't do any harm. the body will take what it needs and expell the rest. your urine and poop might smell strange

does anyone know if it is possible to buy linseed or flaxseed (liquid not capsules or tablets) which only contains Omega 3 and not omega 6?Thanks.Linseed oil or flax seed oil without Omega 6?
Use olive oil, 1 tablespoon is enough for all the omega 3 u need.

Use it to cook or in salads.

ciaoLinseed oil or flax seed oil without Omega 6?
Flaxseed oil naturally has a good omega 3:6 ratio.

It's high in alpha linoleic acid (ALA or omega 3) and low in linolenic acid (omega 6). So flaxseed should be low in omega 6 anyway.

Maybe have a look around a health foods store. You should be able to find flaxseed oil in liquid form.

Avocado oil is one of few vegetable oils not derived from seeds; it is pressed from the fleshy pulp surrounding the avocado pit.

Avocado oil from the flesh is rich in Vitamin (A, B1, B2, D, G and E), amino acids (palmmitic. stearic, oleic and linoleic), panthothenic acid, protein, lecithin, fatty acids and has excellent keeping quality. This oil is said to filter out tanning rays of the sun and is non-allergic. It is similar to lanolin in its penetrating and skin softening action. Also known to stimulate collagen metabolism, increasing the proportion of soluble collagen in the dermis which may help retard visible signs of ageing while softening the skin.

They will help produce nutritionally good quality hair but hair is actually dead when you can see it from the follicle. If you are having problems with dry hair try not shampooing it but using and excessive amount of conditioner to wash your hair, a big handful and really rub it in then rinse. You should notice a difference after first time, it will be softer and more conditioned until next time you wash it, as soon as you use shampoo it will revert back to dry underconditoned hair.

Is Flax Seed Oil a good Antioxident ?

Please give examples why.Is Flax Seed Oil a good Antioxident ?
Ground flax seed and flax seed Oil are very high in Antioxidants. They are the vegetarian equivelent to fish oil.

The Vegetarian Society Information sheet - Omega 3 fats -

http://www.vegsoc.org/info/omega3.htmlIs Flax Seed Oil a good Antioxident ?
Not as good as other foods, like tomatoes and vaccinium species (blueberries, etc.) and certainly not if it's more than a week old.

    ';Although flax seeds themselves contain lignans, a class of phytoestrogens considered to have antioxidant and cancer-preventing properties ..... the extracted linseed oil does not contain the lignans found in flax seed...and therefore does not have the same antioxidant properties. In fact, flax seed oil is easily oxidized, and rapidly becomes rancid with an unpleasant odor unless refrigerated. Even when kept under cool conditions it has a shelf life of only a few weeks.[12][13] Oil with an unpleasant or rancid odour should be discarded. Rancid oils contribute to the formation of free radicals and may be carcinogenic.[14][15][16] Oxidation of flax seed oil is major commercial concern, and antioxidants may be added to prevent rancidification.[17]';

    Quote from Wikipedia.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linseed_oil

Flax seed oil is the food grade form of linseed oil. However, linseed oil should be considered non-edible because of the etallic dryers added to it.

You will get more antioxidents by eating the seeds instead of the oil.
Even if it did I wouldn't consume it, 100% fat, and I can get everything I need from other sources, no thanks oils.

It is used after ovulation. It is really useful if combined with Evening primrose oil. EPO can be taken in the first half or your cycle from cd1 to ovulation then after you ovulate stop it and start taking flaxseed oil. I have used both. EPO really helps with EWCM if that's part of your problems. The flaxseed keeps hormones stable during the second half of cycle. I help not any luck as far getting pregnant. If you're pregnant should you avoid Flax seed oil?

I thought flax seed was good for pregnancy but I have recently read that I should avoid it. What does everyone know about this? If you're pregnant should you avoid Flax seed oil?
My doctor recommended I take Flax Seed Oil every day. There have been many studies proving that Fish Oil/Flax Seed Oil, both rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, are INCREDIBLY beneficial to the fetus' brain development. My doctor's entire practice recommend to every patient that they take one of those supplements daily. I take Flax Seed because I'm a vegetarian, but my doctor says either is okay. I wasn't aware there was any evidence that it was harmful.
